I'm a dental student, can I join the College?
Yes, you can. As along as you are a student at a UK university/dental school then you can become an Affiliate Member. If you're a student overseas, you can become a Member once you have completed your studies.
Do you have student membership?
Dental student membership is affiliate membership. This means for £15 a year you'll get access to all the great benefits that come with being a Member of the a UK Royal College.
What support is offered with student membership?
We understand just how demanding training to become a dentist can be. That's why we offer wellbeing support and access to a range of College networks. You can also connect with a mentor via our mentorship programme, My Mentoring.
How do I join the College as a full Member?
As a student, you can upgrade your membership once you pass and hold your Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery Diploma (more commonly known as the MFDS). This exam is taken in two parts and can be started after you graduate from dental school.
