Trustees
Under the leadership of the College President, Professor Hany Eteiba, our Trustees comprise of the elected Office Bearers of Council plus two members appointed through a competitive selection process. All Trustees give generously of their time and expertise to support the ongoing advancement of our College and have a legal responsibility to ensure that, as a charity, we operate in a responsible and appropriate manner.

College Leadership Team
The College Leadership Team support our elected Members in the day-to-day running of the College.

Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
As Interim CEO, Linda has provided business continuity and stability for the College through her values-driven leadership.
During her tenure as Interim CEO, the College has achieved greater financial sustainability through efficiencies, growth of our global membership and increases in the provision of high-quality education and assessment.
As part of the College Leadership Team, Linda works closely with the College President, trustees, staff and the many clinical volunteers to realise our goals. She is a role model of our values and associated behaviours.
Prior to taking on the position of Interim CEO, Linda was Deputy CEO and Director of Membership and Engagement. Linda joined the College in July 2012 and since that time the membership community has almost doubled in size and now extends to more than 100 countries.
Linda has held leadership roles in both commercial and third sector organisations. She has also served as a trustee of one of Scotland’s largest charities.

Director of Education and Assessment
Education and assessment are at the heart of what our College offers Members and prospective Members. Leading both the Education and Assessment teams, Fiona’s remit includes our educational programme, development of digital education and all career-grade examinations.
Fiona and the Education team work in partnership with our clinicians to identify relevant education and develop and deliver it through face-to-face, hybrid or online delivery. This includes all College educational events from one-hour webinars to 18-month postgraduate diploma courses.
Working with colleagues in our sister Royal Colleges, the Assessment team organises and delivers our written and clinical exams in the UK and internationally. This includes training examiners, contributing to the development of standards and considering how exams will continue to evolve as the world changes.
Originally training as a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser, Fiona spent 20 years developing and delivering education and assessment for finance professionals prior to her move to the College in 2019.

Director of Finances, Operations and ICT Services
Kenneth’s remit covers oversight of the College’s finances, ICT, facilities management, and our commercial events company, 1599 at the Royal College.
He is responsible for financial strategy, budgeting and forecasting, overseeing performance of the College’s investments, setting ICT strategy including our response to the opportunities presented by developments in technology, ensuring the best use of College’s properties and developing the College’s commercial business.
Having originally trained as a cellist, Kenneth spent several years working in the care and probation sectors before retraining as a chartered accountant. Prior to joining the College in 2020, he spent 17 years as a member of the leadership teams of, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, The Robertson Trust, and Wasps Artists’ Studios. He was previously the Financial Controller for a group of pubs and hotels.

Director of Communications and Marketing
Kat is responsible for developing and accelerating the College’s Communications and Marketing strategy, from building and enhancing our brand, to ensuring current and prospective Fellows and Members receive clear and engaging information about news and events that matter to them.
A member of the College Leadership Team, Kat worked closely with the Interim CEO, office bearers, trustees and staff to develop the College’s Strategy 2025-2028. She is passionate about ensuring the voices of our Fellows and Members are heard and supporting the College in speaking up for the professions.
She joined the College to establish the Communications and Marketing directorate in May 2023. Prior to this, she was Head of Communications and Engagement at SQA, Scotland’s national qualifications authority, and Head of Communications and Marketing at the University of Strathclyde.
She is a former journalist and has more than 20 years of experience in a range of sectors including health, education and transport.

Interim Director of Membership and Engagement
As Interim Director of Membership and Engagement, Muir Brown is responsible for the successful recruitment, retention and engagement of all College Members.
Muir leads two teams whose role is to ensure that Members enjoy a first-class customer experience. This is from the moment they apply to join, to supporting them at each stage of their career as they engage with our wide range of College community networks, groups, committees and boards. Muir also ensures that the governance of the College is carried out in full compliance with its regulations, and that all elections to fill vacancies on College Council and the Faculty Executive Boards are fair and credible.
Muir has more than 30 years’ experience in international relations and business development. Before joining the College, he held senior positions at the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, where he played a leading role in expanding ACCA’s global networks and managing educational projects to enhance the accountancy profession in developing countries. Muir also spent many years supporting UK foreign policy in Russia and the former Soviet States on behalf of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
Muir graduated from the University of Glasgow with a MA(Hons) in Russian Language and Literature.
