Biography
Professor Hany Eteiba, a renowned frontline interventional cardiologist, is the current President of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. He has served the College for more than 20 years – most recently as our International Director and previously as Vice President (Medical). He has also held posts including President of the Scottish Cardiac Society, Associate Medical Director of the Golden Jubilee and Honorary Professor at the University of Glasgow.
Professor Eteiba is the first international medical graduate to become President in the College's history. Originally from Cairo, he studied at Al-Azhar University.
He took up office on 6 December 2024 and will serve a three-year term.
